    Can't get enough of this place. Traditional Chinese food is a warm welcome. Portland does not seem to have as many traditional restaurants. Sometimes I just want the food I remember eating when I went out to dinner with my parents. The fancy places are fine and good but nothing like some good old fashion Chinese food. They do not have Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs but we tried the other flavor spare ribs they had, I forgot what the flavor was called, but oh my they were good!!

    This place is hit or miss on good servers, but the food is that old style Chinese food. Everything is great not 5 star but better than a 4 star. Egg rolls were epic and the General Tos chicken was amazing. Chicken chow main was great and if you like sweet fried food, try the Orange chicken. Overall 4.5 rating. The dinner is small and the bathroom really could us a make over, but other than that plats were clean the water was cold and things look clean.

    This is by far the best place I’ve been to. Service was excellent the young gal up front was amazing she handles everything all at once fantastically fast and onpoint! The other waitstaff is always amazing as well. They always know how to handle people even the rudest people. The food was perfectly served and hot. Take out is easy and convenient. Always fresh and yummy. New happy always makes our dinner so easy. You guys rock. Please don’t let anything or anyone tell you guys otherwise.

    I love New Happy Fortune. I can't speak to its authenticity within Chinese cuisine but we love their food. We've tried various dishes and have not been disappointed at all. They can get a bit busy with take out and delivery orders but that just speaks to their popularity, everyone is trying to get a great meal! The lady at the front desk does a fantastic job of keeping orders in the right order. She has a good head on her shoulder and has always welcomed us with a smile.

    We ordered delivery later on into the evening and received the best fried chicken for sweet & sour, and an intense & delicious orange chicken. The orange chicken is slightly lacking in “orange” and we had to wait an extra ten or twenty minutes probably due to high volume for the restaurant at that time.. but it was SO worth it. We are ordering again this week. Also the spring rolls are perfectly crispy and full.
